AuthorSteve Rhoads created the Plasma CPU and software. I developed the CPU by first writing a model of the CPU in C. From this model the VHDL was written.Why would anyone try to develop his own computer from scratch? I suppose it is for the same reason that people climb mountains -- because it is a challenge. At least I didn't try to do something really crazy like build my own airplane (which one of my relatives did). I can remember seeing a computer play tic-tac-toe. I wondered how it worked. I wondered if I could create a computer. |
